Our Beach School takes full advantage of our exceptional coastal setting, giving pupils the opportunity to explore, discover and learn in the natural environment on our doorstep.
From Nursery through to Year 6, children spend time on the beach engaging in activities that encourage curiosity, creativity and independence. Whether exploring natural materials, observing the coastal landscape or working together on outdoor challenges, pupils develop confidence and a deeper understanding of the world around them.
Beach School inspires a sense of adventure and a lasting appreciation for the outdoors, learning through experience while making the most of our beautiful seaside location.
Mindfulness is introduced from an early age, with activities such as yoga and breathwork helping children to develop calm, focus and body awareness. These sessions are often taken to the beach, where our coastal setting provides a peaceful and inspiring space for reflection and movement.
Listening to the rhythm of the waves and focusing on steady breathing, pupils experience the physical and mental benefits of being fully present. Time by the sea encourages relaxation, balance and wellbeing, helping children to reset, recharge and return to their learning with clarity and confidence.
The best way to experience life at Brighton College Prep Hove is by visiting us at an Open Morning or on a personal tour. During your visit, you can meet pupils and teachers, ask questions, and gain a genuine insight into what makes our school such a special place.
